Today’s ODM (Our Daily manna) was an inspiration to me that I
couldn’t resist sharing it here.
In our daily activities, as an individual, you
must know how to handle the people you will come across this year as you journey
through life. Definitely, this year God
will use fellow men/women like you to life your life/ministry. It is germane
for you to always remember that “it is nice to be important, but it is more
important to be nice!.
An instance in the Bible is Abraham, he did
not know he was entertaining angels in Gen 18:1 – 10! What he did provoked divine intervention! Speak kind words and you will hear kind
echoes!
The fact about life is that “what you send out, you get back! What you
give, you get!”. It can also be inter-phrased as “what you sow, you reap”. People may doubt what you say, but they will
believe what you do! This can be attributed to the popular saying that goes
thus “action speaks louder than voice”.
One of the personal prayers i pray daily is “God use me as a
source of blessing/happiness to others”. Truth is you might not know how that
can be done (particularly when you’re not financially buoyant). Perhaps, money
does everything, but trust me prayer solves everything.
Give a smile, not a scowl! Give a
compliment, not a complaint!, give encouragement, not criticism!, Give kind
words, not curse words!, Give money, not mocking!
A hug could do, that’s more or less a great way of showing
acceptance/love. That smile from you could heal someone’s heart, its free! You ain’t
charged any fee for it. Do it!
The bottomline is “Never miss an opportunity to make others
happy, even if you have to leave them alone in order to do it”.
if your attitude to life is (full of negative thoughts) “Life is cruel, life is hard, life is
unsatisfying”, the echo from life flows back to you because such views that
dwells within your perspectives tend to turn out real. But if your attitude
towards life is vice-versa (in a positive way)”Life is good, Life is sweet, Life is satisfying” The echo from life
flows back to you! Life is what you make it, and how you make it starts from
within before it can be projected out. What you input is what you produce as an
output(Luke6:38). Also, we get from others in the long run, just what we give. Likewise,
we get from ourselves, just what we give ourselves.
Just as the yoruba song goes thus “enikeni ti o ba n’ipa,
lati she iranlowo fun o, oun na l’eni k’eji re, ranti re”. meaning (whosoever
is within your reach that needs helps, and you have the power to help, he is
your brother/sister/partner, help him/her.
Regardless
of whatever is happening in your life at the moment, Learn to see life in a
positive perspective and it’d smile back at you, you should always make others
happy. Be kind to everyone. And more importantly, voice out your life the way you want to hear it sound.
Have a Blessed week ahead!
